Standing on the word

Yestarday my mom confronted me about a situation that happened 2 weeks ago at a friend's party. I allowed myself to be put in a comprimising situation which could have brought me a lot of shame. I wasn't truthful about this situation and I apoligize for being dishonest and displaying poor judgement. I will now stand on my personal conviction. Galations 5:16-20 says: So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the spirit, and the spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. The acts of sinful nature are obvious: impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, any sinful thing.  When I lied to my friends and family, I wasn't standing on my conviction, but now that can not happen. This conviction is now like food, clothes, and needs of life because Jesus is a need of life and I'm going to treat it like that.  Again, I would like to offer an apology to my mom, Mr. Carroll, and Ms. Pam and I hope you can regain your trust in me. And remember.... Life is a treasure with lengths of love nobody can measure
