That's not my name

I don't know about you, but sometimes, I have trouble with my name. As you already know, my name is Mercy. It's simple, it's easy, and to me it's kinda sweet. But I just don't get it when people get my name wrong! Just so you can kinda catch on what I mean, here's how the conversation goes," Hey darlin what's your name?" " Mercy." " Marcy?" " No ma'am, ( or sir ) Mercy." " Nice to meet you Marcy!"  I just let them have it. But really, Is Mercy one of those hard names? I just don't understand it! I mean it's not like my name is Uzomaka or Dostoyesvsky! ( If someone who's name is what I just typed, I meant no offense to you). Maybe the person just has hearing problems or I'm speaking really low. But I just don't get that. Or for some other people who's names are kind of complicated, how about them pronouncing it the right way... does that annoy you? . I mean, I'm a nice person. I'm not going to start yelling at you like," Um, can you hear me! My name is Mercy! You say it all the time! It's common! What is up with you?" No, I could never do that, especially not to adults. I try and be all cool with it. But it was only until yesterday when my mom mentioned it that I realized that that is kind of weird! I know this is all short and all but I just wanted to point that out......

Mean people

Today, I want to reach out to those of you who are dealing with some people who are just.. MEAN. I know, some people feel like there's nothing they can do about these people who are always picking on them or hurting their feelings. Whether it's verbally or mentally or any other -ally. ( Couldn't think of another one ;) ) Sometimes we can feel like we're stuck with these people. But, we can actually change that. We have to stand up for ourselves! We can not let people treat us like we're not meant to be treated right. I believe that we all are the same really. Not like the same in what we do but what we're worth. I'm saying, just because you have long hair and pretty nails doesn't mean you're better than me. I'm not saying that everybody with long hair and pretty nails are mean! Don't get me wrong, mean comes in all shapes and sizes.

I mean no offense to this baby. ( Haha ; ) Get it?)

I bet some of the questions that we have are," How can these people be so mean? What did I ever do to them?" Well, one thing I know is sometimes, that "mean" person is just jealous of you. So they treat you badly. And the first question, may never be answered. They may just naturally be mean or it could be because they're having a bad day. But, if you're constantly getting that "mean" feel, there's just something up with them.

Feel like that?

All I'm saying is don't give up or give in. You were made the way God wanted to be. You're important. Don't forget that just because of that somebody that just won't leave you alone. And don't get sad if they don't.

NO! DON'T DO THIS!

You have to stand up for yourself.

Let It Go! Let It Go! Don't wanna hear about Frozen anymore!

I don't know about you, but I am getting tired of Frozen. People are acting like it's the," Greatest Disney Movie in All Time!" Well, no that's probably Lion King. Ya know what they say," Greatest Disney Movie SINCE Lion King!" All I know is I'm tired of it. Everything is about Frozen now! They have Frozen blankets, Frozen cereal, Frozen cups, Frozen plates, Frozen commercials, and..... It's like Frozen has taken over the world!

I MEAN SERIOUSLY!!

I mean I used to do the Frozen thing. I know all the songs and I LITERALLY know all the words. It was when my mom and a lot of other people started saying,"

I mean me and my friends would sing all the songs and like at the perfect moment say some of the lines. ( Does what I just said even make sense?) But, now it's kind of annoying. Especially Let it Go. Can't they sing another song?

Or maybe not....

I don't ever watch Glee but one time I saw a commercial and the girl was singing Let it Go. I think Glee is some type of musical show. That just shows how crazy this is getting! But now I'm seriously thinking..... Will the obsession and love for Frozen in this world ever end? I mean the movie came out in 2013.... it's 2015! Will we still be singing Let it Go in 2072? I don't know a movie that lasts that long.... Except for Lion King. Well, yes there are movies that are still talked about and mentioned. Maybe I'm just overreacting. Or maybe I'm right. I just want the rule of frozen to be over! Elsa, please come down from the movie throne!

The Weather is the Weather Whether you Like it or Not!

Hey, how are you guys doing? Cold? If you're in Atlanta, or maybe in another place that I don't even know about, most likely, you're cold. Now today, I would like to know what is going on with the weather! If i'm not mistaken, ( which I could be ) it is supposed to be snowing. Now, if you're a kid like me, you like snow. I mean, I don't like this freezing weather that won't go away, but snow if different.

I feel ya kid.

Anyway, what I'm saying is it's supposed to be snowing. Who said it's supposed to be snowing? The news. They are always saying stuff about the weather that DOES NOT happen! " It's going to be sunny tomorrow you guys!" It's raining. I can not ever trust what they say about the weather. The weather has its own mind and it's own mood swings. I mean sure, meteorologists ( I think ) study the weather and they should be able to tell you the temperature of the whole week and stuff. I'm not saying meteorologists are ALWAYS wrong. But, I can't keep getting my hopes up high like this. It's not cool. Ok, so last year they said it was going to snow, it snowed. My case is not entirely........ I'm just saying sometimes they are right. So let me clear that up They are always   sometimes saying stuff about the weather that is not true. I mean it is what it is. Also, when I said the weather is the weather whether you like it or not, I'm basically saying we can't change the way the weather is. I wish I could sometimes. Especially in times like this!

I mean seriously! I am so used to wearing short sleeved shirts! And now it's sweaters and boots and undershirts and thermals and AHHH!! I mean, I love the way God made everything he made. I am not against that. But, just sayin, I can not wait till winter is over!

Well, I don't hate it like that. That's just evil.

Where have I been?

Hey you guys! Today I am going to tell you where I've been. I apologize to those of you have been checking this website and there's nothing new there. Sorry bout that... But anyway, I'm back now. Just to catch you up on the things that you've missed, I'll tell you. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Well, only two months late! I'm working on it. Ya know, I can't believe it's 2015 though! These years are going by so fast! Anyway, I'm at a new school now! I had to get used to the middle school thing but eventually I got it. And it only took me a few days to get the lock down. My favorite subject so far is math and science but I love all my teachers! I also joined the band, I'm trying to learn how to play the flute. Hopefully it won't be too hard. All I know is I don't want to be blowing into the hole and nothing is coming out. That'll be frustrating.

So yeah, that's what has been going on lately. I'll make sure I blog more often so you're not staring at the same blog title, " Where has Thanksgiving Gone?". It's kind of weird, but the last time I didn't blog for a while was thanksgiving. Hmm..... Next Thanksgiving, I will not disappear!
